Don’t buy a Hearing Aid!
Without considering the following...
How can Digitone do Premium Hearing Aids at half Price!
Large companies have higher overheads and a lot of middle men earning their commission. With top of the range (premium) technology rising up to £3000 to £4000 per hearing aid, Digitone as a smaller business without layers of middle men charge less for their fees when fitting a Hearing Aid.
Are all Digitals the same?
Like most technology in any marketplace there is budget, intermediate and advanced premium models. The more sophisticated the more expensive the aid, the better the hearing. Not all digitals are equal - don’t fall for a Cinderella fitting (making one make fit all problems). Some manufacturers are better than others and some models suit different hearing losses.
Private or NHS Hearing Aids?
NHS hearing provision has come along way but it must be remembered that apart from long waiting lists, hospitals are on limited budgets buying their hearing aids from the same International Manufacturers as do private Hearing Aid companies. The NHS cannot afford Premium Technology so you will never experience your hearing as good as it can get! Always having to compromise accepting hearing with limits with what is in our view older budget technology… But it is Free.
Why do all the High St outlets offer different Hearing Aids?
Rather than go head to head with their rivals with the same technology, large companies tend to tie themselves to a particular manufacturer for commercial reasons. This is not in your best interest when obtaining the best solution for your loss.
Could buying a Digital Aid be a waste of money?
Buying a Digital Hearing Aid requires trusting the Provider you are dealing with. Hearing aid manufacturers provide technology at several levels, Budget, Mid Range, and Premium Technology. Typically a Hearing Aid price is made up of two parts; the actual cost of the Aid to the Hearing Aid Dispenser and then their fees/commission. Both parts of this sum can vary and not in your favour! You could pay a lot of money for low technology, and very high fees (commissions). Always ask to see this split. You could pay a thousand pounds for the aid but 90% is commissions and only 10% on technology. Digitone work very much the other way.
How much should I pay for a Hearing Aid?
Hearing Aid Companies can break their choices into at least five levels of technology from budget to Premium with five levels of pricing, which can vary from £299 to over £4000 per hearing aid. Digitone have consistently offered Premium Technology at prices that are often half the price of all our competitors, due to our lower dispenser fees…You can expect to pay less than half the price off large company prices on Middle and Premium technology! Because our competitors are offering budget and mid range aids for Digitone lower Premium prices, Digitone have no need to offer budget technology in the marketplace!
Does any Hearing Aid company have exclusive Technology?
No International Hearing Aid Manufacturer makes their Premium Technology
available to one preferred customer. However they will
brand one of their lower technology products with a name that allows a customer to market a particular range and imply exclusivity but the same technology is still wildly available from their competitors …some of the largest dispensing companies operate in such a way. Make sure you are always offered a Branded Hearing Aid.
