Digitone hold weekly open advice mornings as part of the Hearing in the Community initiative to promote
Hearing health.
This is an opportunity for you to seek professional, impartial advice from one of Dorset’s leading Hearing Aid Audiologists. Have your questions answered honestly about what is currently available on the NHS, whether private hearing aids will give you significantly better hearing and exactly what costs may be involved. With so many hearing adverts pushing one biased make, how can you be sure you are getting the best hearing aid for your needs and not paying top money for bottom technology? Investing wisely in the latest technology may be more affordable than you think!
Whatever your hearing concerns we will give you the very best impartial advice with no obligation. Our advice has already saved local people thousands of pounds and put them on the road to hearing as good as it gets. Talk to Digitone and get it right first time.

Every Thursday 9.30am – 12.30 am Assistive Listening Devices
If you have a hearing aid already but still struggle in certain situations an assistive listening device could help you get the most from your hearing aid.
We are able to demonstrate the latest products and give specialist advice about what is currently available (including loop systems). Products can be ordered directly from our representative who also offers a home fitting service.
Every Thursday 11.00 am – 12.30 pm Lip-Reading Class
The Lip-reading class is taught by Mrs Pam Bend and is sponsored by Digitone. Lip-reading is a skill that can help you gain self-confidence and be of great benefit to those who are severely deaf or profoundly hard of hearing.
The lip-reading class covers positioning techniques to manage your own type of hearing loss, spoken and listening exercises around topical subjects, and the basics of the lip-shapes of the spoken word with practical lip-reading. All levels of hearing loss are catered for with the use of a loop system and handouts.
The classes are small, friendly and relaxed and members have been known to have fun and enjoy discussions between people with similar experiences.
We also aim to keep you informed of progressions within the hearing loss field, with information and ways to assist yourself, taking into account the different accents and dialects and the way people speak.
Places are limited and can be booked by contacting Digitone 01202 821244. |
